This September, Café François, the modern French restaurant from the team behind Maison François, are delighted to announce the launch of Afternoon Tea. After its success at Maison François, which launched earlier in the summer, founders François O’Neill, Ed Wyand, and Executive Chef Matthew Ryle are excited to be bringing their very own French-inspired tea to the bustling Borough Yards.
Matthew Ryle has designed a menu of sandwich classics, celebrating the flavours of France, with Oeufs mimosa with watercress, Rillettes de thon, chilli, basil and avocado; Vadouvan curried chicken, and celebrating the beloved French classic, Jambon beurre. Sandwiches are followed by an array of creatively crafted pâtisserie, including Eclairs, Tartelette aux fraises, as well as Orange blossom & pistachio gâteau and Hazelnut choux.
To complement the Afternoon Tea, guests can indulge in a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne or a cup of Postcard’s finest teas.

- Afternoon Tea is available from 2.30pm to 5.30pm Monday - Friday and 3 pm - 5.30pm at the weekend
- Bookings are available to book online up to 12 people.
- For parties of 1 - 6 they require card details to secure and have a 48-hour cancellation policy.
- For parties of 7 - 12 they require a pre-payment on £25 per person, this is non-refundable but they can reschedule with more than 48 hours notice.
