Restaurant Reviews
19 Motcomb St, London SW1X 8LB
Part of the reworking of the Pantechnicon building included getting rid of their retail operation and replacing it with this gorgeous-looking Provencal restaurant with an ex-Annabel’s and Arts Club chef in the kitchen. Dishes plunder the Mediterranean coast for inspiration but the must-have dish is the crab toast with tomato and caviar.
109 Kew Rd, Richmond TW9 2PN
The opening of this neighbourhood restaurant saw local chef John McClements coming out of retirement to get back in the hospitality game. The aim was to serve up seasonal French bistro food that was also - drumroll - affordable. Locals would say they’ve more than succeeded. The duck fat brioche served with a selection of terrines is not to be missed.
5 Savile Row, London W1S 3PB
This is Jason Atherton's flagship restaurant on Savile Row, where he’s hoping for Michelin recognition. Chef Spencer Metzer (ex-The Ritz) is the man in the kitchen making the magic happen - expect culinary fireworks across a multi-course tasting menu.
13-15 Tavistock Street, London WC2E 7PS
This is the third opening from the Delamina restaurant group, serving up Eastern Mediterranean dishes in a gorgeous old Georgian building just off the Covent Garden piazza. What you can be sure of is that everything tastes amazing with the plant-led options being particularly creative and delicious.
