Jamie Oliver to open pub and restaurant in King's Cross

jamiekxKing's Cross continues to be one of the busiest parts of town for new openings. And now we hear that Jamie Oliver is getting in on the act.

The TV chef's plans for a new pub and restaurant in King’s Cross have just been given the go-ahead by Camden Council. Oliver's company will be taking over The Fish & Coal buildings and the Wharf Road Arches (where The Cross nightclub used to be) to the north of Granary Square. In total it's 17,500 square feet in which they'll also have office space and test kitchens.

Oliver's pub will have a roof conservatory and outdoor roof terrace overlooking the canal while the lower level arches will be part of his restaurant.

The development is expected to be completed in 2016.
