Caphe Pho coming to Smithfield from the people behind Caphe House

Caphe Pho coming to Smithfield from the people behind Caphe House

There's a new Vietnamese restaurant coming to Smithfield soon and it's one that's moving there from Bermondsey. Caphe House is moving to Smithfield and changing its name to Caphe Pho in the process.

Obviously, the star of the show will be their pho. Their stock (beef, chicken or vegetable) is made from a family recipe with 12 hours of simmering "to allow the stock to retain all its goodness and develop the subtle distinctive taste and aroma". But noodles aren't all - they'll have baguettes and rice dishes with lots of Vietnamese fillings. Plus there will be rolls, steamed buns, salads and chargrilled skewers. And in the evening, there will be an a la carte menu adding more including Steamed Scallop and Smoked Jasmine Tea Duck.

Traditional Vietnamese iced coffee will be available and they'll also have their own Caphe Spirit - homemade rice spirit served with mint, lime & soda.

Caphe Pho opens 1 June at 12 Smithfield Street LONDON EC1A 9LA. For more, follow them on Twitter @caphepho
