Badoit Express brings free picnic lunch to Soho Square

badoitexpressFancy a free gourmet picnic lunch? Badoit Express is a free event happening in Soho Square on Thursday 13 June. Food is by Thierry Marx, owner of the two Michelin-starred Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx restaurant in Paris. As for service, well you know it's going to be good, as the whole event's been designed by Fred Sirieix, general manager of the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows restaurant. So he's the one responsible for little touches like silver service cloches, a string quartet, chandeliers and crisp, cotton napkins.

This is the second free city picnic the water company has sponsored - last year they turned a Parisian commuter train into a free fine dining restaurant.

“Soho Square is going to pop with excitement," said Fred.

Badoit Express opens at 12.30pm. To be in with a chance of a space email details of your party size to BadoitExpress@HavasWW.com. There are up to 50 places available to book in advance of the event, and there will be 50 places reserved for guests who arrive on the day, with a maximum of four people per picnic blanket.
