Over 230 new and notable restaurants opened in London in 2014, the biggest year yet since we started our new openings list and so it's the widest field that we've had so far.

As for 2014 - The Hot Dinners Readers…

The Dairy launches The Bloodshot Supperclub series of late night dinners

Looks like the BackBench at Koya now has competition as one of the hardest seats to get in town. From January there's going to be serious interest in the four seats going on sale every month for the late night Bloodshot supperclub at The Dairy in Clapham.

The inspiration for the new monthly event came from a conversation The Dairy's Robin Gill had this week with fellow chef Nuno Mendes of The Chil…

Brooklyn Bowl London puts on a special Elvis menu for the Elvis at the O2 exhibition

This, my friends is the Shake, Rattle and Roll milkshake, inspired by Elvis' favourite sandwich, which is being served up at Brookyn Bowl at the O2 in honour of the recently launched Elvis at The O2 Exhibition.

Inspired the King's favourite (and as it turned out very unwise) fried banana and peanut butter sandwich the shake is a blend of vanilla bean ice cream, rich peanut butter and bananas.

The…

Nanna's cafe and pantry to open on St Paul's Road, Islington

The food revolution of St Paul's Road in Islington continues and as we're locals to the area, we're very happy for it to carry on. We've recently seen the addition of pan-Asian takeaway Tootoomoo replacing the local kebab shop (our waistlines will be thanking them) and now there's another great sounding-deli opening on the street very soon called Nanna's.

We caught up with Nanna's Sally Stall to f…

Holborn gets a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant with Beiriso

Londoners might remember the ill-fated Shumi in St James which tried to introduce us to the joys of an Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine but only lasted 18 months, helped towards its demise by a slew of bad reviews. Almost a decade later, another restaurateur is attempting the same fusion cusine with Beiriso which is about to open in Holborn.

The name for the restaurant comes from the word for rice…
