For the first time ever, Otto’s is throwing open its doors on Christmas Day and the four-course menu is a total steal. There’s pasta with lobster, foie gras terrine and flambeed tarte tatin and a festive capon for those wanting to keep things traditional.

Enjoy a trad Christmas feast at Rules in Covent Garden where everyone's welcomed with a glass of Gusbourne or a cocktail and dishes include Uig Lodge Isle of Lewis Smoked Salmon, Beef Wellington (along with turkey or a wild sea bass fillet) and finish with a yule log.
Price: £85 for three courses or £95 if you add a cheese course.

If there's a more Christmassy dining room in London we've yet to see it. Spending your Christmas Day here ensures plenty of Insta-friendly pics - but the food also sounds great. The four-course set menu sees the Roast Norfolk bronze Turkey served with wild boar sausages and all the trimmings and dessert options include the Nyetimber Golden bell - a dark chocolate bell with chocolate mousse and cherry compote.

Nobu

For Christmas Day Nobu London is putting on a six-course Christmas Day omakase menu with dishes like Toro Tartare with Caviar, Black Cod Miso and A5 grade Japanese Wagyu Beef. There's also the option to go a la carte. If you want to stay home but avoid cooking they’ll also be doing a takeaway option on the day.
Price: £190 minimum spend.
Bob Bob Ricard
1 Upper James Street, London W1F 9DF
For Christmas day, Bob Bob Ricard is going to be serving its full menu of Russian and European classics including Steak tartare Imperial with caviar and Chicken and Champagne Pie while Christmas pudding haters will love the Chocolate Glory with a hot chocolate sauce.

Le Pont de la Tour

Enjoy Christmas lunch down by the Thames this year. Le Pont de la Tour will also have a special six-course menu for Christmas Day, featuring dishes including oysters, turkey with all the trimmings, and Marquise au Chocolate with spiced clementine and Christmas pudding ice cream.

Expect trad classics alongside brilliant seafood and veggie options at this riverside restaurant. Mains include Roasted Troncon Of Brill, Girolles, Chargrilled Leeks, Monks Beard, Brown Shrimps Meuniere while there's mulled fruit crumble for dessert. It's three courses with champagne and canapes on arrival and coffee and mince pies to finish.

Corbin & King
Across London
All of the Corbin & King restaurants (bar Zedel in London and Cafe Wolseley at Bicester) are opening their doors on Christmas Day. They're serving the usual menus along with festive specials, but you'll have to be quick, The Wolseley and The Delaunay are already fully booked.

Barboun on Great Eastern Street are serving their take on a classic Christmas dinner. Start with a welcome drink of Piper-Heidsieck champagne and pre-dinner Mezze nibbles while the main is a rolled turkey breast or chestnut roast with all the trimmings. It's £59 and NHS staff working over the festive period don't have to pay.
Cinnamon Kitchen's restaurants are both open on the day. Their festive menu is £50 in Battersea and £60 in The City, with dihses like chargrilled goose breast and a hot, dark chocolate mousse with cinnamon ice cream.
Bluebird (Chelsea) - The Christmas day menu here is £120 for three courses plus an amuse and coffee and mince pies.
Amaya (Knightsbridge) is open for both lunch and dinner. It's £95 including a welcome drink and dishes include Caramelised Brussels sprouts and chestnut chilli stir-fry.
Riding House Cafe - in Fitzrovia, this restaurant's Christmas Day menu is served family style and kicks off with cocktails. It's £90.
Chutney Mary - is open for lunch and dinner on Christmas Eve with a three couse menu including baked venison samosa, Tandoori lobster with makhani sauce and a Warm Christmas pudding brûlée. It's £95 including welcome drink and Pappad tray.

Kerridge's Bar and Grill
Corinthia Hotel - Whitehall Pl, Westminster, London SW1A 2BD
Tom Kerridge's London restaurant will have a five-course menu on the day including game terrine with spiced quince chutney, Smoked salmon Scotch egg with caviar butter and either Rôtisserie roasted Norfolk brown turkey or Roasted fillet of beef as the main event. After dessert, it all ends with a Truffle baked Camembert for the table. They also have pescatarian, vegan, and vegetarian menus.

The Sea Containers restaurant on the South Bank is putting on a three-course Christmas Day menu. While the mains have a choice of turkey and beef - there is also turbot with salsify, Jerusalem artichoke and lobster essence or orecchiette with winter truffle and mushroom sauce. There's also an option og game terrine to start and traditional Christmas pudding to finish.

Angler

Angler - there’s a distinct seafood theme to the five-course Christmas Day lunch menu at this City restaurant which includes Squid ink cracker with taramasalata and Dorset crab with green apple, avocado and wasabi on the menu with a main of Beef Wellington rather than turkey. £100.

The Treehouse has a festive menu in their rooftop restaurant at £90 (£30 for kids) but you can also go non-trad with a sharing menu for two of Mexican dishes.
Berners Tavern has a menu for £150 per person with starters including Berners Tavern prawn and lobster cocktail and a dessert of Baked Baron Bigod cheese
Celeste at The Lanesborough (Belgravia) - This Michelin-starred restaurant is a five-course affair for £260 with dishes including Truffle brie de Meaux and an Egg Nog Bauble for dessert.
Cheneston's (Kensington) - There's a five-course meal for £249 per person here and you can relax to the sound of their resident harpist.
The English Grill (Victoria) - This restaurant at the Rubens Hotel has a seven-course lunch complete with all the trimmings for £185 (Children between 2 and 12 are half price). There's also a meal at The Curry Room.
The Game Bird at the Stafford (overseen by Ben Tish) has a four-course menu (plus canapes) for £250 per person, which includes a butter-poached native lobster alongside the turkey.
The Goring (Belgravia) - The Queen's favourite hotel (we're pretty sure she will be elsewhere) has a three-course menu for £295 per person, which includes a native lobster omelette to start.
The Ham Yard Hotel in Soho has a Christmas day menu for £145 per person with dishes including Dorset crab mayonnaise and profiteroles with black cherry custard.
The Savoy Grill (Mayfair) - Gordon Ramsay's restaurant at the Savoy features the option of a Beef Wellington as the main (and turkey of course) with six courses for £250.
Cubitt House pubs
Belgravia, St James, Marylebone
This high-end gastropub group is opening all of its pubs on Christmas Day - they'll be serving up a four-course set menu with corn-fed turkey from Somerset, family-style sharing sides and, of course, Christmas pudding with brandy custard and clotted cream.

Guinea Grill and The Windmill
30 Bruton Pl and 6-8 Mill St, London W1
Both these Mayfair pubs are throwing open their doors for Christmas Day. At The Guinea, the turkey comes as roast ballotine and comes with every conceivable kind of festive side before finishing off with a cheese board and coffee and mince pies. Over at The Windmill, you could opt for turkey pie as your main or beef fore rib with brioche and bone marrow.

The Flask, Highgate

Work up an appetite before Christmas lunch at this Highgate pub or walk it off on the heath afterwards. The three-course menu has plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. Along with traditional dishes, there's a ballotin of Fuller's London Porter smoked salmon to start and roast guinea fowl with sherry jus as a main. And who wouldn't fancy a butterscotch savarin cheesecake for dessert?

This festive-looking Clapham pub has an extensive menu on offer on Christmas Day. Start with Roast cauliflower soup and toasted chestnuts, move on to a Hampshire game & juniper suet pie and there's spiced orange and cranberry syllabub among the dessert options.

Trafalgar Tavern

Walk along the Thames on Christmas Day to the Trafalgar Tavern at Royal Greenwich where their three-course Christmas Day menu includes a starter of seared scallops with celeriac, apple & smoked pancetta jus and the turkey is slow roasted and served with braised red cabbage, pigs in blankets and duck fat roasties.

Islington gastropub Smokehouse is open for the first time ever this Christmas Day. Their six-course menu starts with canapes like truffle and cheddar gougeres, there's turkey with all the trimmings along with an interesting veggie main of date and cavolo nero Wellington along with a cheese course and even Christmas cake to round things up.

There's a five-course festive menu on the big day at this South Kensington pub - which kicks off with an amuse-bouche of stuffed figs with torched clementines and concludes with some appealing sounding petit fours of white chocolate fudge with pistachio and cranberries.

Staying In?
The Savoy
Over the holidays from 1 December through to New Year's Eve and including Christmas Day, The Savoy are sending out a three course cooked Norfolk Turkey Feast. It includes a roasted bronze Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings, a Jerusalem and smoked tomato veloute to start and a traditional Savoy mince pie with brandy butter to finish. You just need to give them 48 hours notice and then reheat it when it arrives at yours.
