This sees Bjorn Van Der Horst (Eastside Inn) and Omar Romero (Rhodes Twenty Four, Rosewood) taking over the dining room on the 23rd floor of the Hilton Metropole. Expect a modernist Japanese pub with food to match. Plus Kirin beer K-slurpys and clay barrel aged cocktails served on airline trolleys.

This is the restaurant housed in the Serpentine Sackler Gallery. Housed under the fancy new part attached to the grade II listed building, this has German chef Oliver Lange in charge who aims to mix Japanese food with European.

Opened by Anna Hansen and now run by her head chef, Robert Mcleary, this is a place for inventive fusion cuisine. Look for unusual food pairings, not to mention plenty of ingredients you'll probably need the waiter to expand on.

This is Icelandic chef Xavier Rousset's main base in London (the man who's also behind 20:50). It's earned a Michelin star since opening and serves up a Modern European menu with Scandinavian influences (one of the first in London to do so). And - as you can expect from the name - champagne plays no small part in the proceedings, all within a beautiful Georgian building.
