South London
3 Atlantic Rd, Brixton, London SW9 8HX

Not so much of a restaurant as a take-out with the option to sit in, this is the flagship premises of the fried chicken chain. Perch on the high stools and watch the bustle of Brixton through the glass arch as you choose from six different burger options, including garlic butter mayo fried chicken with parmesan and pickles. There is a vegan option, and sides include vegan dirty tater tots with “bacon” bits and ranch sauce.

Chick n Sours comes from the team of Carl Clarke and David Wolanski, whose mission is to serve up some of the best fried chicken in London. And they're doing a pretty good job of it so far, with their wings, tenders and huge chicken burgers all some of the best in town. All that plus an excellent selection of sour cocktails.

Originally set up in Haggerston, this fried chicken restaurant is a collaboration between Carl Clarke and David Wolanski. As well as serving excellent fried chicken - tenders, wings and burgers, they also do a mean line in sour cocktails. Not to mention the amazing Szechuan Aubergine, one of our favourite London dishes.

Award-winning chicken street food trader made its move from street food to bricks and mortar with the opening of this, their first place, in Shoreditch. Their fried buttermilk chicken sandwiches are the bomb.

This is the original restaurant from Carl Clarke and David Wolanski (also behind CHIK'N) and still the best. The fried chicken is among the best in London, the szechuan aubergine is one of our favourite dishes and the sours are still excellent, affordable cocktails. There's a great bar space in the basement too.
