Grace Dent and Fred Sirieix are in this year's I'm a Celebrity

Forget all that whinging about Farage being in the jungle. Here at Hot Dinners, we're much more energised by the prospect of not one but two well-known figures from the London restaurant world being among this year's line-up.

An early scoop by The Sun was confirmed last night when both Grace Dent and Fred Sirieix were announced as being among this year's contestants. Grace, as the Guardian's restaurant critic and former maitre d' turned First Dates star Fred will both be interesting candidates. Grace has previously admitted to feeling in two minds about the show stating that despite it being "a puerile venture into starvation, televised constipation and animal cruelty, abbreviated by ads for Iceland £1 curries," she also couldn't stop watching it.

But she appears to have had an epiphany (or a large injection of cash) to entice her to take part even though she admits she's not looking forward to feeling hungry in the jungle: "I am accustomed to every time I want to eat people bringing me lovely food. I am going to be so hungry I actually think a testicle will be quite tempting."

Fred has gone on record before with similar opinions of the show, telling Hello last year; "I don't think I'd do I'm A Celebrity, I wouldn't be too keen on eating a camel's anus or something like that. I know I eat frogs, I'm French, but at least those frogs are cooked!". But we're pretty sure that his intensely competitive spirit will do him well in the jungle. He's also been a longstanding vocal critic of Brexit, so his encounters with Nigel Farage should be TV gold.
