Sam Harrison to open Sam's Waterside in The Brentford Project, a restaurant, cafe and deli

7/7/23 - updated with a new launch date

Restaurateur Sam Harrison has been a busy man of late. In addition to his riverside restaurant Sam's Riverside, he's opened two deli concepts, Sam's Larder - in Hammersmith and Chiswick. Now, sticking with West London, he's signed up to be a leading part of a new housing development in Brentford.

The Brentford Project is going to be a massive waterfront development with over 800 homes along with a whole load of shops and restaurants. Harrison is going to be opening Sam's Waterside here - which will be a restaurant with a bar and outside terrace overlooking the river Brent. As a guide on what to expect you could maybe look at what Ballymore did with Embassy Gardens in Vauxhall, where there's a really interesting mixture of restaurants and bars.

"Sam’s Waterside will have a similar DNA to Sam’s Riverside," says Harrison, "with a terrific river location, a buzzy atmosphere, great food and drink offerings, and a huge emphasis on service and hospitality. We plan to offer our usual varied menu, but at a slightly more accessible price point." The larder will then open opposite the brasserie

While they wait for the development to be finished, Sam and his team have got ahead of themselves, opening a mini version of their cafe here in the project's concierge office which is currently open serving coffees and pastries.
