Dalston is getting a brand new bakery as Francesca Strange's The Proof has found a permanent home there for a bakery, coffee shop and dessert bar.
A self-taught baker, The Proof has been delivering amazing-looking puddings (hence their name), cakes, and sweet treats across London, as well as a fairly big focus on profiteroles. Those profiteroles are going to be a big part of the new place, which is coming with a build-your-own profiterole bar, where you can choose fillings, sauces and toppings. Her jaw-dropping cakes will also be available both by the slice and whole cakes (as well as cupcakes).
Outside of all that cake and pudding goodness, they'll have cafe staples like avocado on toast, sandwiches and sausage rolls. Of particular interest will be the brand new savoury profiterole sandwiches, which we're just going to have to try.
