WC find a new Water Closet to convert into a wine bar in Bloomsbury

What: WC Bloomsbury

In a nutshell: Wine and Charcuterie in a former loo

Summing it all up: After success with their first loo-turned-wine-bar in Clapham, WC are at it again. This time they're renovating a Victorian loo in Bloomsbury to become their second wine bar.

The low-down

WC in Clapham is, as the name gives away, a bar that takes pride from the original use of its building - as an actual WC. And now the team behind it have found another loo to renovate, taking over a space in Bloomsbury - a Grade II listed 120-year-old Victorian water closet.

It is, of course, going to look very different from your usual public loo, all completely redesigned with booths throughout (very handy for social distancing) that echo the original stalls and you'll be able to see some of the original tiling in place too.

As for the offering - it's mainly small sharing plates and wines (plus cocktails). The WC here is short for Wine and Charcuterie, so you can expect a selection of cheese and cured meats from the UK and Europe alongside homemade chutneys and pickles.

And that's not all from them - as the original WC Clapham will be reopening at the same time, after a big refurbishment.
