Galvin at Windows is the latest high-profile London restaurant closure

London's run of high-profile restaurant closures continues with the news today that Galvin at Windows is to close. In an announcement on Instagram, owners Chris and Jeff Galvin said that the restaurant's last service would be in just over a week's time.

"It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Galvin at Windows," they said. "We've cherished every moment of our highly successful 18 years on Park Lane from being awarded our Michelin Star to the ongoing success of both the restaurant and our award-winning team. The memories we've created will remain close to our hearts forever."

The rooftop restaurant at Hilton Park Lane will perhaps be best known for being the place where Fred Sirieix presided over as GM for 14 years. Serving up haute French cuisine with amazing views over Hyde Park it was Michelin starred between 2007 and 2020.

Of course, what this means is that the Hilton has a prime rooftop space ready for a new chapter. Watch this space and we'll let you know when we hear what the hotel has planned.
