EDITOR'S LETTER

The current sunshine in London is giving us a flavour of what to expect when Taste of London returns to The Regent's Park in just a few weeks, from 17-21 June. And if you're looking for a way to try all the hottest restaurants in London in one place, you can't do better than Taste.

With 30 restaurants across 5 days serving more than 130 dishes, it's a festival you need to arrive at hungry. And to help you out, we've perused this year's menus to come up with some suggestions for you.

Dishes to try at Taste this year

This year's menu line-up has just dropped and, as you'd imagine, there's lots to look forward to, from Prince Arthur's cuttlefish fideua to the truffle guacamole on crispy rice from Los Mochis. Dishes that are also on our must-try list include:

- Orion by Alex Webb's lobster and prawn toast
- Dim Sum by Chai Wu's wagyu siu mai and caviar-topped dumplings
- DakaDaka’s red wine ice cream and ponchiki doughnut

With so many dishes to choose from, your only problem will be trying to decide what to try first!

Chef demos and masterclasses at Taste of London

This year's Taste exclusives

Every year, the festival menus feature one-of-a-kind dishes that you won't find anywhere else but Taste of London.

This year, those range from Pahli Hill's masala crab moons and Sexy Fish’s ancho chilli-glazed braised wagyu taco to a baharat chicken served over fluffy rice from Aram By Imad.

So if you fancy trying any of those, your only chance will be at this year's Taste of London.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

Drinks and bars at Taste of London

Whatever day you're coming down to Taste, make sure you check out what's being served up as part of the Uber Eats Daily Specials programme.

Dishes this year include authentic Japanese food from Taro Restaurants, fragrant Singaporean cuisine from Singapulah, and a totally plant-based takeover from Tofu Vegan.

If it's a chef demo you're after, there's rehabilitated restaurateur Natty Can Cook, appearing at the BBQ Cook School alongside top veggie chef Helen Graham, Bibi's Chet Sharma and Sally Abé from new Hackney restaurant, Teal. Food-waste disruptor Martyn Odell (@lagomchef) will be doing a demo at The Fire Pit, as will Ottolenghi recipe writer Christina Soteriou (@christinasots).

And at the British Airways Holidays Cook School, which is shining a spotlight on the Caribbean, chefs include culinary activist Lelani Lewis, London-born with Grenadian roots, and award-winning Barbados chef Jason Howard.
