Stork Restaurant and Lounge has just opened on Cork Street, right in the heart of Mayfair.
It brings a fresh new concept that puts the spotlight on fusion dining at its finest – a blend of modern British cooking with accents of West African and Eastern European cuisine. Stork, the brand icon, has inspired the core menu offering based on the bird’s migration pattern between Africa and Europe, delivering a true migration of taste.
Harping back to their roots, co-owners Michael Adjovi Kalu and Nadina Grigoras bring with them their own native influences and heritage from West Africa and Eastern Europe respectively to ensure that the offering is truly authentic and of the highest standard.
At the helm in the kitchen is Head Chef Adebola Adeshina (Aubergine, Marcus Wareing) who has worked hard to bring this fine fusion cuisine to life. Chef stays close to the seasons when creating his menus, using the very best that each season has to offer as well as produce that is super fresh and locally sourced. Menu highlights include: on-the-grill Suya spiced Tomahawk steak served with fried plantain, Lagos salad and aymase; Scottish Lobster, steamed Moi Moi in a rich lobster bisque and an Eastern European inspired Pizza ‘Picinte’ made using Talima cheese.
A curated drinks list compliments the menu, the signature must-try being The Stork Brought You – a mix of Zeca Cacha, Cooconut Milk & Yuzu and Spike Chapman – a refreshing concoction of Campari, Angostura Bitters, Pomegranate, Orange, Soda Water. Join the Stork on its journey of flavour.
