Head to Maida Vale this summer where the award-winning The Hero of Maida pub & dining room is offering diners 50% off your entire bill every Tuesday dinner (6pm-10pm) until 25 July.
The acclaimed The Hero of Maida serves Anglo-French menus from chef-director Henry Harris and head chef Harry Millbourne and whilst the ground floor of the beautifully restored Victorian site is a bar serving well sourced ales and bar food from a chalkboard menu, the high ceilinged upstairs dining room offers guests more formal dining with carefully curated a la carte menus.
Henry’s expert knowledge of regional French cooking informs the daily changing menus: starters might run from signature Calf’s brains, black butter and capers; or Burrata, trombetta courgette, pistachio pesto. Mains currently include Saddle of rabbit, confit shoulder, borlotti beans and girolles mushrooms; well as Stone bass, spring vegetable pistou and macaroni. Also available to share is the ever popular Highland winged rib with chips and bearnaise or peppercorn sauce. Desserts include lemon & elderflower posset alongside strawberry Pavlova, pistachio praline and strawberry sorbet.
Much-celebrated at The Hero of Maida is their extensive drinks offering which spans Old and New World wines as well as a range of artisanal Cognacs, Armagnacs, aperitifs & digestifs, many supplied by family-run Harris Vintners.
