Simon Whiteside is inviting Hot Dinners readers to check out his debut restaurant Roe’s soft launch when it officially launches in Pop Brixton on the 13th November.
Chef and co-founder of renowned seafood restaurant Hook in Camden and Bia Mara in Brussels, Simon’s latest venture, Roe, will focus on sustainable seafood from the British and Irish coast using small, independent suppliers only. Located in a shipping container, the restaurant will seat 32 guests including an outside terrace area. The ever-changing menu will offer small and larger plates drawing on Simon’s Irish heritage.
Enjoy small dishes such as Cuttlefish and ink arancini with pecorino foam and Monkfish carpaccio with roasted cauliflower puree and pickled shitake and larger dishes including, Confit sea trout accompanied with sea greens and an oyster and sorrel emulsion, Spiced Pollock with fermented lentils, roast onion squash and chard plus a daily whole fish special.
