Argentine restaurant group, Gaucho is celebrating its 25 year anniversary with a radically evolved concept on Charlotte Street, launching on 9th December. A spectacular new design will see elegant Latin American earth tones and new features. These include two stunning cocktail bars, a Beef Bar counter showcasing the theatre of the kitchen to guests - offering a more intimate experience with the chef present; new exclusive Charlotte Street only dishes and a wide selection of prestige wines on tap.
Overseen by TV chef Mike Reid, Gaucho’s Culinary Director, starters include Scallop Ceviche and a selection of Empanadas. Steaks naturally take centre stage and are available in a variety of cuts and weights, with the option to be marinated and served according to classic Argentine recipes, including Tira de Ancho and Churrasco de Lomo. The a la carte menu caters to all tastes with a selection of additional mains including Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle and Atlantic Cod with Quinoa and Edamame and Blood Orange dressing. Gaucho also offers a set lunch menu at £25 for two courses and £29 for three.
Sharing steaks include Galician T-bone and Chateaubriand. Sauces, toppings and side options are plentiful to personal taste from firecracker chimichurri to chorizo butter and black truffle. Desserts include Salted Dulche de Leche Cheesecake and comforting Sticky Toffee Pudding with clotted cream.
