Clapham looks to be getting an interesting new restaurant in a few weeks when Comensal, a modern Mexican bar and restaurant opens its doors.

It's the highest bar in London. Gong on the 52nd floor of the Shangri-la Shard opened its doors last week, so we popped along for a quick drink at the weekend to check it out.

The Ham Yard hotel is the latest hotel coming from the Firmdale group. They're the people behind the Charlotte Street hotel and the Soho Hotel among others and this is their eighth boutique hotel - with a mix of traditional hotel rooms and apartments. If you're entertaining in the hotel, it has both a cinema AND a 50s style bowling alley.
