  Burgers, mac’n’cheese and milkshakes, and not an animal product in sight as vegan junk food vendors The Vurger Co bring their plant-based approach to Shoreditch for their first permanent venue.

• Daffodil Soup pops up on Hackney Road with homemade vegan sourdough and local honey

  

  Hackneyites are getting a new six-month pop-up that promises modern British and Mediterranean food with a South African twist, by the name of Daffodil Soup.

  It looks like an ethically minded, very East London affair, complete with Walthamstow honey, house granola, nut butters and vegan sourdough, that’ll also be available to take away.

• Darjeeling Express is bringing in meat-free Mondays

  

  As you may remember, we were ever so slightly embarrassed about missing our on Asma Khan's Darjeeling Express last year, despite it getting rave after rave (but look out for a Test Drive soon).

  The third Veggie Pret to open will be on Exmouth Market and will be the chain's first brand new veggie store rather than a conversion of an existing one

• Le Bun extend their stay at Birthdays adding a F**king Vegans burger

  

  If you’ve been meaning to get down to Birthdays to nab one of Le Bun’s decadent burger dishes, then good news - they’ve decided to extend their residency to the 2 April.
