"(The deer) was marvellous. It beggars belief that a meat could be so tender after a life lived for fun rather than gastronomy. It didn't even melt in the mouth, it disappeared like the bloom of youth, a moment of beauty, then gone." READ REVIEW

"But this place needs a tiny blob or two of caviar, a sliver of really good foie gras, a lobster bisque, a tottering soufflé… Something that feels special and naughty and cooked just for you, rather than cheap cuts slow-cooked for convenience and economy. You just can’t charge £60 for braised cheeks." READ REVIEW

"The cheese board included a brie truffled on the premises, which pretty much sums up Lumb's attention to detail. Her food isn't grabby, or agenda-setting, but it's terrific, and there's a novelty factor to Marianne which could well make it A Thing for wealthy west London types." READ REVIEW

"Despite having her name above the door, on our visit Marianne resisted the urge to come out and gladhand the room into declaring her cooking wonderful. Which is a pity, because it was. Wonderful." READ REVIEW
