"This is a smart, chic place with a good heart and a lot of good ideas, seemingly right for its City trader/Tate Modernite crowd. And yes, I discover I am there on the chef's night off. Let us assume it gets incrementally better with the head chef on, or why the good reviews?" READ REVIEW

"We left feeling replete and, by now, half in love with the view of Tate Modern. Northbank is a delightful addition to the London restaurant scene, and I'll be back as soon as possible." READ REVIEW

"My luxurious-sounding main, lobster spaghetti (£17), turned out to be an overcooked hill of stodge that I barely excavated. But I reckon that was a menu blip. My date tucked into a roast pheasant with red cabbage and chestnuts (£14.50) with as much relish as I did to his baked bananas (£5)." READ REVIEW
"Everything was consistently of high quality, and the only possibly criticism was that portions were arguably on the dainty side. Or, for today’s City market, is that just what’s called for? This is certainly the sort of menu from which you could eat three courses, and still do a proper afternoon’s work." READ REVIEW
"What reads like a macho dream comes over all girlie on the plate; my anise-scented Gloucester Old Spot pork belly with clams, pool of Robuchon-buttery mash, crackling and smoked sausage was gussied up until it looked like the late Isabella Blow's cocktail hats." READ REVIEW

"My friend Joe, who ordered (the pork), praises the flavour of the meat and also rhapsodises about the batons of crunchy crackling. He quickly joins the clean plate brigade. My lobster spaghetti is less innovative but fine. As ever, one would like the ratio of lobster to pasta to be upped." READ REVIEW
