"This is really disappointing taste association made imprecisely without sophistication. It was like an open audition for competing ingredients as cacophonous and illegible as the room." READ REVIEW

"Kopapa is an all-day place, so whether or not I ever get the urge for mutton and quince stew, I'll definitely come back to try Gordon's breakfast concoctions, and for more of the sweet stuff with a cup of tea in the afternoon." READ REVIEW

"Peter Gordon has said in defence of fusion food “if it tastes good, it works”. Not enough worked at our dinner and at lunch a few days later — different tapas and one butternut squash and chickpea soup with samphire, orange labneh and caramelised peanuts to share — we struggled to find enthusiasm for anything tried." "Trying to get an overall impression of a place from a shaky soft opening is difficult - and possibly rather unfair - but judging from dishes such as the marrowbone toast and the oysters I would like to think Kopapa could grow into an interesting and characterful restaurant in a location - Covent Garden - hardly blessed with a surplus of such places." Fun tastes and a welcome change

You're not going to fit this restaurant into any of the usual categories. Okay, it's Peter Gordon's NZ fusion food. Go without any preconceptions or expectations of a central London eatery and you should have a good time.

Great place!

After reading the critics review and would say rather unfair as I had the most wonderful meal in a long time thanks to these guys experimenting with such ingredients! adventurous? Yes! taste? Yes! they deserve better critics! it's not all about boring fish and chips! The decor it's great and the ambient as well. Service could be a bit more attentive though.
