Alexis Gauthier's place...

Chef patron at the Michelin-starred Roussillon, Alexis Gauthier, has left his Pimlico restaurant to open up his own place in the heart of town, with French cuisine in the marvellous setting of this Georgian townhouse.

"While not groundbreaking in style or content, there's no doubt that Gauthier is a worthy addition to the motley collection of bars and restaurants of Soho, and it would be very mean to dismiss the food there based just on the rather staid and uncomfortable atmosphere in its upstairs dining room." Remarkable food and excellent service. Staff is friendly and well trained. I loved everything about the food. Combination of flavours was fantastic and the service was relatively quick. Also enjoyed the small touch of picking your own olive oil to go with your bread. The oil was great too! Would highly recommend it - I went for the 4 course lunch which was great value for the type of food you get. A wonderful experience indeed.
