Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels

Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels

This wine bar comes from the same people behind the hugely popular Experimental Cocktail Club and this bars sister site in Paris. Expect the wines to steer clear of the mainstream and the food to be a mix of seasonal British and French cuisine.

"The wine list excels; the food needs more attention. Its intentions are great, but there are too many slips between menu and lips." READ REVIEW

"That croque madame might be my new favourite thing. I'm planning a towering hangover just so I can go back and scarf it for breakfast. It's not clever or different, a simple thing, but it's made from the most glorious constituents, evidence of clued-up buying – a theme that becomes familiar throughout my meals there." READ REVIEW

"“Petites sardines” dressed with Casanova Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil is a trailer for the bounty of the CVS deli located next door. We all agree that Posh Madame, a croque madame with truffled ham and quail egg, is ideal hangover fodder although none of us admits to that condition." READ REVIEW

"If your wallet allows you to stay for more than a glass, there are some decent platters and small plates on hand to line the stomach, from a truffle-laced toastie by the name of Posh Madame to cured meats and excellent cheese. And even if your wallet won’t permit more than one, it’s well worth dropping by for a sample." READ REVIEW

"With Nina Simone crooning in the background and the interiors of a glamorous Parisian boudoir, it’s a chic, civilised spot to graze and sample an exceptional drop or two." READ REVIEW
