The Bull and Last

Gastropub in Kentish Town

It takes a lot to make yet another gastropub opening stand out from the crowd in London but the Bull and Last appears to have stuck to the tried and tested formula of serving simply fantastic food. They call themselves a Pub and Kitchen, but reviewers felt the food surpassed usual gastropub fare to be truly gourmet.

A model for pubs of the future ? Possibly, but certainly a model pub for today. Other hostelries please take note. READ REVIEW

Nose to Hampstead

A great pub - not a local for me - but where I take my brother for a couple of drinks and a bite.

Menu is great, Food is always great too - however the menu has become more 'democratic' of late... Sharing plates put me off and remind me of city wine bars and pissed secretaries.

Last visit we had some home cured fish, some great crispy squid, some brawn and some crispy pigs ears - just bar snacks!!

Its best in the Autumn or Spring - precused by a walk on the heath.
