Well, at last. We have found a really good steak place in London. My husband and I lived in the US for over 20 years and got used to the fabulous steaks you can get in Chicago, like Gibsons, The Chop House and Mortons. We have been back in the UK for the last 5 years and desperately looking for a really good steak........well now the Grosvenor House on Park Lane has opened a steakhouse called JW Steak............my husband had been to the one they have in Dubai and because of his good experience there we decided to give this new one a try. It rerally was like being back in the US, with the added advantage of being in the heart of beautiful Mayfair, (which means it is not cheap, but I must say it was worth every penny. Parking was actually easier than we anticipated just aropund the corner on upper Grosvenor.
We had fabulous steaks, just some cream spinach, and then shared the Bread and Butter pudding which quite frankly was the best pudding we have ever had...........it came with a bourbon sauce which was really lovely.
I only give it nine out of ten because we we were in a bit of a hurry and did not order any appetisers as we were afraid to miss the concert we were going to. We will definitely go back.
