Comptoir Libanais

Lebanese shop and cafe

Restaurateur Tony Kitous (who also owns Pasha and Kenza) intends Comptoir Libanais to 'revolutionise Middle Eastern food and make it accessible to the high street'. In the main, critics tend to agree he's succeeded.

Best Meal under £10 in London

I went to Comptoir Libanais after reading about it almost everywhere, Time out, elle, vogue independant, evening standard etc.
the first time i went was a lunchtime on a midweek
the place was so packed, I had to wait in the cue for almost 20 minutes to get a seat.
once served it was well worth the wait.
its fresh, its fast, its tasty, its all under £10. the lamb and prunes tagines was yummy, under £6 it must me be the cheapest in London, i had the apple mint and ginger lemonade and a frozen yogurt, it was all very good. what made it a memorable lunch was the fact it was a new experience for me and that what london needed.
i also went in the evening its not a packed but still as good as lunchtime.
if you are looking for a posh and expensive meal then dont bother going there.its a place for your mates, colleagues and catching up with the girls.
i look forward to go their new branch in paddington right next to my offices.

Fermanda.
