Daniel Boulud brings his bistro to London...
Daniel Boulud is one of the top chefs in Manhattan, where his restaurant Daniel was recently awarded three Michelin stars. This is his first opening in London - in the same hotel as Heston, no less. Bar Boulud, which also has a New York outpost, is a bistro and wine bar, has 165 seats and includes a charcuterie bar.

"This was all really robust, really honest, true and spanking French meat-making – nothing poncey, nothing flash, nothing overpriced at all – quite unexpected in this funny little bunker under a hotel on a busy urban crossroads." READ REVIEW

"The seafood linguini with taggiasca olives is suitably syrupy with the flavour of preserved lemon rind, and its decoration with pine nuts makes it the highlight of the meal." READ REVIEW

"...the piggie burger, which is regular beef roughly minced, with the genius of barbecued pulled pork on top, and onion, bibb lettuce, green- chilli mayo, slaw and fries. This is brilliant. Real Miss USA on a bun." READ REVIEW

"Boulud is originally from Lyon, and that comes shining through in a mixed plate of their terrines and charcuterie. This is a kitchen that knows what it's doing with pressed bits of slow-cooked animal." READ REVIEW
"M Boulud's establishment may be more 1970s provincial French bistro than 2010 London eaterie, but when the carping stops, you notice that his attention to the old-fashioned virtue of flavoursome cooking is faultless." READ REVIEW
