Modern Italian in the heart of Mayfair by Chef Michele Granziera
Michele Granziera spent six years honing his skills at Zafferano but this Italian restaurant at the Millennium Mayfair hotel doesn't appear to have won many fans. The fault could be either the laboured concept of sharing dishes or the fact that the dishes themselves aren't as nice as they should be. Either way - it needs to do better to stand out as a hotel restaurant that wishes to attract non-residents to its tables.

"Avista reminds me a bit of Theo Randall at The Intercontinental: a terrific chef let down by his environment, compelled to play to an audience of tourists either too lazy to explore or delivered there by the arcane society of concierges." READ REVIEW

"Aubergine Parmigiano can be a lovely dish: crisp, light and comfortingly old-fashioned. The example at Avista, served in too copious an amount on a swooping, white, very Moderne dish, had drowned in its own tomato sauce." READ REVIEW
