Brothers Tom and Ed Martin - who already have the White Swan in Fetter Lane, and Clerkenwell's The Well to their names - have struck gold once again with The Gun. This historic establishment perches on the Thames on the West India Dock and the brothers Martin have come up with a foodie offering that has made this a favourite with locals and a place worth travelling east for.

"The Gun is a very slick operation, if not a wilfully underpriced one, and just the sort of languid setting that makes you want to sit drinking until sundown." READ REVIEW

"A fine example of gastro as it should be done, the Gun is thoughtfully decked out in dark wood and grey slate tiles, with sofas, bookshelves and huge barrels as stand-up tables." READ REVIEW
A bit of a hike from where anyone normal lives - its really only a Sunday lunch destination for me. With some freinds and kids post Mushute park.
Sunday menu has something for everyone - even vegetarians. Good choise of beers, great wine list (something that is sometimes overlooked in 'gastro' pubs).
Deck outside on the rive is great - parking can be a disaster when busy.
But the best thing is sitting down with a crips, clean and thick luxurious table cloth. A cost too far for even formal restaurants.
Cracking gastro pub in the East. Great food and location: lovely riverside terrace. Great for a work lunch with a difference from Canary wharf. Good service. From the owners of the Well.
