Authentic US barbecue themed restaurant
Red Dog Saloon is billing itself as 'the most authentic American BBQ restuarant in the capital'. That's fighting talk - particularly as it's not far from Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa - so what do they have to back up this claim? It's all in the pit apparently - the kitchen's hickory and mesquite-burning smoker, which was imported from the American BBQ Company.

"With a new Byron about to open just over Hoxton Square, the burgers will have to be perfect to compete - but the signature Red Dog burger had little meaty taste about it, and was served rare instead of the promised medium rare." READ REVIEW

"By the standards of the city, and let's remember it's a very big city, Red Dog does very nearly the best BBQ money can buy - I ate all of it, more or less enjoyed all of it, and I would probably go back." READ REVIEW
