"In fact, given that food that goes with fashion is usually incidental, it’s quite good. If it is judged as a complement to the place’s other attractions – there undoubtedly are people who will see them as attractions – it hits the spot pretty well. " READ REVIEW

"Male gourmets may sniff but the menu is diverse and female-friendly. You can order a bite from the deli (there’s even plenty of gluten-free) or a three-course meal. There’s fish, omelette, salads, lemon-infused quinoa — and yes, they do chips." READ REVIEW

I had read all the reviews of the Phene and booked it for my birthday, however when I phoned to confirm there was no record of my booking at all. 2 days before my birthday and now I have to find somewhere else. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
There are plenty of places in this area that appreciate their clientèle unlike the Phene. They aren't arrogant to think that they can treat possible clients badly and expect then to come back.

Waste of money

At £75 a head this is a complete rip off. Food bland and basic and no better than average pub food, yet three times the price. To make matters worse, they actually took our drinks from our hands after 11.00pm, without warning, with many full bottles of wine still on the table that they had been happy to sell to us just minutes before. Claim it's an agreement they have with the local residents but when you've booked the dining room upstairs and paying up to £40 a bottle, it's the last thing you expect, or appreciate

AVOID.
