Chelsea eating from the man behind "Christopher's"
Christopher Gilmour, having already given his first name to his eponymous restaurant in Covent Garden, bestows his surname on his latest venture - a Chelsea local. The idea is comfort food at reasonable-ish prices, which should go down well. Most reviewers liked it a lot - but Giles Coren's review takes the average score down markedly.

"A bag checked into the cloakroom is returned, unasked for, along with the bill. Apparently they couldn't wait to get rid of us. But by then we couldn't wait to leave." READ REVIEW

"Thank God the meal was terrible, because obviously I can never go back there. And terrible it was. Having started so well with the delicious and keenly priced sparkling white wine, it was downhill all the way." READ REVIEW

"A main course of slow-roast belly of free-range Suffolk pork with mashed potato... was wintry, blokey comfort food, cunningly combining ultra-crisp crackling and meltingly soft, lean meat." READ REVIEW
