"It goes without saying that in this part of town, serviced by a steady stream of undemanding and credulous tourists, where nowhere must have to try very hard to do well, it is all the more heroic that Bistrot Chabrot is serving such excellent stuff at such relatively low prices." READ REVIEW

"The foie is worth a visit on its own, and the point and joy of bistros was that they were exemplars not of haute cuisine, but of honest, good ingredients, made with pride and served with nonchalance." READ REVIEW

"The first dinner delivered a perfectly grilled paillarde de veau scattered with herbs, a gratifying chou farci Chabrot stuffed with veal, chestnuts, foie gras and ceps - time-consuming to prepare and seldom offered - but also the determination to return having ordered ahead one of the main courses to share." Gotta love the French

The food here was superb! You might as well have been transported to France for the evening. Starters of escargot, carpaccio (can't remember the French name but basically raw beef), fresh ewes milk & a selection of charcuterie. The cabbage stuffed with veal and foie gras was to die for.
I highly recommend a visit if you want uncomplicated food and good service (plus if you're really nice the head waiter gives you a secret selection of fine French cheeses)

great little place

I live 'next' door. This place is great, the food is very precise in its execution and the chef does these quite simple dishes very well, this is where the skills comes from isn't it? The ingredients are not too tampered with. The service is friendly, that makes a change for Knightsbridge... The wine list is fun and priced for everyone to enjoy a bottle. One last thing, I think that the people from Harden's did not get it.

Very very good

Fantastic atmosphere, it says and does what is on the tin...People should take it as a bistrot and not as a 3 michelin star restaurant. When you will understand that then you will enjoy your experience fully. The food is very well executed and the service is friendly and efficient. The wine list is well made and proportioned, it is more French than anything else.

great French simple food

Great food, simply made, good value wine list and friendly service. Something rare especially in this neck of the wood... This time Knightsbridge locals are spoiled with a no pretense but delicious venue.
