LeCoq teams up with Honey & Co for their Rotisserie Takeover

LeCoq teams up with Honey & Co for their Rotisserie TakeoverWe've mentioned before how lucky we are to have Islington's LeCoq practically on our doorstep and this week were even happier because Honey & Co were going to be in the kitchen. This was for one of the LeCoq takeovers that has also seen Coppa and Salt Yard's Ben Tish let loose on their rotisserie.

On Monday night, both Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich were in the house with a very different menu to the usual LeCoq rotisserie chicken and plenty of nods to their Marylebone restaurant. We loved the personal touch of the seasonal vegetables and flatbread laid out with the place settings and were particular fans of the burnt aubergine and the muhamra.

But it was the main course of rotisserie lamb with some excellent BBQ tahini that was the real showstopper. Plus the sofrito potatoes, cooked in the lamb fat - yes, they were as good as they sound.

Frankly it was all as great as you'd expect from Honey & Co and left us ready to book a return trip to their Warren Street restaurant (if you haven't yet been, it's an absolute must for any foodie's list).

That's not it for the mash-ups at LeCoq though. In addition to now being open every Monday from next week, they've already lined up their next special guest. Meera Sodha will be taking over the Kitchen on July 28 and they're taking bookings now.
