Our latest and now bi-weekly round-up of the latest London restaurant reviews from the top UK critics as they are added to our reviews section. This week Morito gets great praise from Time Out while the Italians - Zucca, Trullo and Tinello - are all still collecting raves.
Andrew Neather - Evening Standard
What did he think? Well deserving of its second Michelin star. Choice quote: "Graham’s food is both bold and complex. It’s hard to imagine many of these dishes as a conventional main course: the seven-course tasting menu seemed to me more a logical choice for these plates composed of small parcels and contrasting components." Morito - overall score 8/10 (new entry)
Hermano Primero - Dos Hermanos Estimated score
What did he think? Competent Spanish tapas, perhaps a little overpriced. Choice quote: "Although the evening may have seemed like more like a sequence of misses than hits the quality of the ingredients were decent and nothing left a bad taste in my mouth… well, maybe the prices did a little..." Nicky Evens - Time Out
What did they think? Excellent tapas, service and sherry. Choice quote: "This is fast food as it should be.The chef overheard and dispatched part of our order before the waitress reached him with it. The slick kitchen operation made us consciously linger over the food so as to prolong our stay." Read review

Zucca - overall score 8/10 (no change)
John Lanchester - Guardian
What did he think? Great food, exceptional service and a wine list that it's almost worth visiting for alone. Choice quote: "It's hard to make exceptional pasta – it's by definition hard to make exceptional comfort food – but Zucca does, in this instance with a dish of rigatoni, courgettes and pecorino." Trullo - overall score 8/10 (up 0.5)
Giles Coren - Times
What did he think? Great food, well priced and the best service he's ever had. Choice quote: "Oh, the food. Impeccable. And priced like somebody has no interest in getting rich." Read review

Tinello - overall score 7.5/10 (up 0.5)
Marina O'Loughlin - Metro
What did she think? The best of a recent bunch of top Italian restaurants. Choice quote: "The brothers’ Tuscan background shines through in dishes such as panzanella, a fragrant salad designed to use up stale bread, and trofie from Tuscany’s near neighbour Liguria." Read review

Lisa Markwell - Independent
What did she think? Very good food but expensive and spoiled by poor and dismissive service. Choice quote: "There isn't going to be a next time. The food wasn't good enough to merit it, but then it's not aimed at me. While sharing plates are fashionable, it doesn't matter that they're more fodder than fine dining." Read review

Zoe Strimpel - City AM Estimated score
What did she think? The menu may be a bit too far-reaching, but the decor and atmosphere makes up for it. Choice quote: "A wide ranging menu and long list of boozy options along with welcoming decor make Tompkins a perfect place for lingering." Read review

AA Gill - Sunday Times
What did he think? A case of trendy East London style over substance. Choice quote: "Their food is like the popcorn at a cinema showing only the customers to each other." Read review

Circus - overall score 6/10 (down 0.5)
Luke Leitch - Sunday Times Estimated score
What did he think? Unremarkable food - but that doesn't matter when you have such excellent entertainment. Choice quote: "A night here is unlikely to bring you reverent communion with significant or even just very good food." Read review

Tempo - overall score 6/10 (no change)
Richard & Peter - Harden's
What did he think? Adequate food, made up for by an excellent atmosphere. Choice quote: "The food is not perfect, but it is an establishment which gives the impression of trying to please, and left us feeling we wanted to go back despite the odd imperfection on the food front." Read review

Katy Guest - Independent
What did she think? Very good food but expensive and spoiled by poor and dismissive service. Choice quote: "What comes out of their kitchen truly is exceptional. They just really don't seem to want us to have it." Read review

Hermano Primero - Dos Hermanos Estimated score
What did he think? Competent fish and chips, but lacking taste and "soul". Choice quote: "Overall though it still is a truism that the gussying-up of the humble F&C supper had somehow robbed the dish of any heart or soul." Read review
Guy Dimond - Time Out
What did he think? New Executive Chef Michael Paul champions British produce in a gallery restaurant up there with the best of them. Choice quote: "If it's done its sums right and don't upset the neighbours with fish-frying fumes, this fish restaurant could prove to be more sustainable than its predecessor." Read review

Redhook - overall score 5.5/10 (down 1)
Jay Rayner - Observer
What did he think? Fair facsimile of a New York steakhouse until you come to the food. Choice quote: "It was the steaks that were the real problem. If you are going to run a steak house, serve proper bloody steaks cut to proper sizes." Read review

David Sexton - Evening Standard
What did he think? Good food, middling service. Choice quote: "Diver scallops, truffled potato, raisin purée, tomato and basil was ornate in appearance — coins of scallop, confit halves of cherry tomatoes, and gloopy mounds of mash flavoured with truffle — but it came together in the mouth." Marina O'Loughlin - Metro
What did she think? Astonishingly over-the-top decoration that has its charm, but the food is very underwhelming. Choice quote: "We try dishes from most sections of the menu and it’s all as bland and underwhelming as our surroundings are bananas." Read review
Tracey MacLeod - Independent
What did she think? Poor service, poor food and expensive - but despite that will probably be "critic proof" and find an audience. Choice quote: "Just why the food should be so hit and miss, when so much money and craftsmanship have been lavished on the place, is puzzling; though with 370 covers in the restaurant and several sittings a night, maybe it's inevitable."
