Roganic - overall score 7.5/10 (down 0.5)
Roganic

Matthew Norman - Telegraph
5

Choice quote: "While “heritage potatoes in onion ashes, lovage and wood sorrel” arrived on a plate that would have been visible from space, the spuds themselves invited the traditional battle-cry of the disappointed trencherman: “Hubble telescope to table three!” "

Choice quote: "Pizza East is a great addition to this corner of London. It improves without patronising. It fits in, and it elevates."

Manchurian Legends - overall score 7/10 (new entry)
Manchurian Legends

Fay Maschler - Evening Standard
6

Choice quote: "Based on the dishes we did try, I can recommend starting with soup, particularly the ribs and kelp soup -helpfully pictured on the menu - and the seaweed and egg broth."

Guy Dimond - Time Out
8

Choice quote: "...such adventures are preferable to the boring, suburban set menus (crispy duck, kung po chicken et al) - so go on, try something you've not had before."

The Crooked Well - overall score 7/10 (new entry)
The Crooked Well

Jay Rayner - Observer

Estimated score

Choice quote: "The mains – a rib-eye with Café de Paris butter, duck confit with chorizo and chickpeas, sole with broad beans, anchovies and capers – have a familiar urban-rustic feel."

Veronica Simpson - Time Out
6

Choice quote: "It's a good sign if you're waiting for a pal in a restaurant for half an hour, with only the menu to read - and the more you look at it, the more interesting it gets."

Riding House Cafe - overall score 7/10 (no change)
Riding House Cafe

Giles Coren - Times
5.5

Choice quote: "But that was as nothing compared to the main kitchen itself, where the flouting of basic standards was so surprising that I became quite horrified and have perhaps ended up being less kind to the cooking than I might otherwise have been."

Soseki - overall score 6/10 (down 0.5)
Riding House Cafe

AA Gill - Sunday Times
6

Choice quote: "Its ethical intentions and pescatorial concerns, and its quiet beauty in the centre of all this greedy ugliness, are laudable and go some way to mitigating the fact that, though the food is well made and prettily presented and smilingly served, it isn’t quite good enough."

Suda - overall score 6/10 (new entry)
Suda

Guy Dimond - Time Out
6

Choice quote: "But there's the nub: Suda's not in Thailand, it's in the shopping and tourist hub of Covent Garden. And most of this catchment area would rather not risk the hair-raising tuk-tuk ride that is real Thai street food."

Quince - overall score 5/10 (down 0.5)
Quince

Marina O'Loughlin - Metro
4

Choice quote: "In the newly heroic Turkish ocakbasis of Dalston, you can feast on this kind of thing for about £10 a head – if you’re insanely greedy. Here, we pay £172 with no wine, and three cocktails, each appearing with a £3 supplement that our waiter seems unable to explain."

Tsuru Sushi 10 Queen Street, EC1

Marina O Loughlin - Metro: " Factor in a commitment to sustainability and this is a terrific addition to an underserved neighbourhood. I’m going back at lunchtime for the best-selling katsu sandwich."

The Lyttleton The Stafford Hotel, 16-18 St James’s Place, SW1

Fay Maschler - Evening Standard: "The refreshingly forthright food, the agreeable service led by an excellent chap from Blackburn - the chef is also from Lancashire and the sous-chef from North Yorkshire - and the hidden treasure aspect of the location makes me want to explore less extravagant routes into The Stafford."

The Dogfather North Cross Road Market, North Cross Road, SE22

Lucy McKay - Evening Standard: "Every ingredient was cooked to perfection, the sausage juicy and flavoursome, the chorizo hot, thick and melt-in-the-mouth. Even the mozzarella, though odd paired with sausage, worked well."
Read review

The Prince of Wales 138 Upper Richmond Road, London SW15 2SP

Zoe Williams - Telegraph: "It wasn't until we had our main courses that it became clear how ambitious the cooking is, and how far it exceeds what you'd expect from the back of a pub, never mind that it was just an ordinary week night."
