Our latest fortnightly round-up of the latest London restaurant reviews from the top UK critics as they are added to our reviews section. This week Elliot's gets off to a strong start, AA Gill loves Made in Camden and Medlar, Roganic and Galoupet all continue to do well.

Made in Camden - overall score 8/10 (no change)
Made in Camden

AA Gill - Sunday Times

Choice quote: "Well, the Roundhouse is an exceedingly good caff with a bit of lost space attached. Everything the performance space upstairs aspires to is being realised by the understudy in the cafeteria. This is where the real show is."

Elliot's Cafe - overall score 8/10 (new entry)
Elliot's Cafe

Guy Dimond - Time Out
8

Choice quote: "They make much of buying their produce from Borough Market - why wouldn't you, if it surrounds you - but it's the warm atmosphere and enticing menu that really makes it special."

Fay Maschler - Evening Standard
8

Choice quote: "...the daily changing menu has an air of the informed improvisational - making the best of what is on hand and coming up with enticing combos..."

Medlar - overall score 8/10 (no change)
Medlar

Matthew Norman - Telegraph
9

Choice quote: "The service, without being remotely intrusive, is impeccable, the cutest touch being how the sommelier decants every wine, even the comparative cheapos, from an unusually well balanced list."

Jay Rayner - London Magazine

Choice quote: "Is the food good? Well, of course. In some areas it’s better than good. You have to love a smart restaurant which provides a pile of pork scratchings as a bar snack, alongside the almonds and olives."

Estimated score

Choice quote: "It made me keen to visit Rogan's headquarters in Cumbria, which I suspect is part of the point."

Marina O'Loughlin - Metro

Choice quote: "Of course it’s expensive. But if the old ‘fayn dayning’ floats your boat, this – contemporary, light, assured, revelatory – is as good as it gets in London right now."

ALSO REVIEWED

Sheesh Ye Olde King's Head, Chigwell, Essex

Jay Rayner - Observer: "The main courses are equally solid, down to the side dishes of buttery rice with vermicelli noodles, the pickled red cabbage and the raw-onion salad sprinkled with sumac, the ubiquitous citrus-flavoured spice."
Read review

Four O Nine 409 Clapham Road, SW9

Amol Rajan - Independent: "Moving on to mains, my roast cod with mussels, fresh brown crab, orange, saffron, new potatoes and samphire is magnificent. A vast array of flavours clamour for attention on each plate, but it tends to work."
Read review

Spud 26 New Row, WC2

Victoria Stewart - Evening Standard: "The first was excellent. Plump chickpeas, kidney and butterbeans bursting with a full, smoky flavour rested alongside a feisty cheddar in a thick, bubbling smoky sauce."
Read review

Ombra 1 Vyner Street, E2

Richard Godwin - Evening Standard: "...what Ombra gets right - hospitality, in a word - it gets so right, you would rather be here than any of the modish, management-consulted places out west."
Read review

Potli 319-321 King Street W6

Fay Maschler - Evening Standard: "A Hyderabad lamb biriyani, although not seemingly cooked by the dum method, was good, as were tarka dal, saag paneer and pindi channa, all rich with butter or ghee."
Read review

Hurwundeki 299 Cambridge Heath Road.

Marina O'Loughlin - Metro: "Cakes are a real draw – insanely rich chocolate brownies, frangipane and pear tart, carrot cake muffins – as is seasonally changing coffee from Square Mile Coffee."
