Zoe's Ghana Kitchen pops up at Soho's The Sun & 13 Cantons

Zoe Adjonyoh is to launch a West African residency at The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho. The pub will see the Ghanaian-Irish chef, who’s already earning praise from the Observer and Nigel Slater, will be rolling out her traditional West African cuisine in this West End branch of Fuller’s. Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen will be running for six months, and follows the success of her Pop Brixton digs, not to mention as a warm up to the launch of her new recipe book, Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen.

Punters will be able to go all in with a big plate of dishes like the Red Red Stew, Jollof Fried Chicken, Grilled Lamb Cutlets with Spiced Peanut Sauce, with chocolatey Love Chin Chin Banoffee Pie to round it all off.

Or if you just want a small, savoury something to go with your pint, there’ll be some choice bar snacks like marinated Kelewele (fried plantains), Tempura Okra, and Pork Ribs in Sticky Plantain Sauce, plus jars of jollof relish and house shito to take home, (as well as her new book).

“I believe we are on the cusp of an African food revolution,” says Zoe. “There is a longing to try something that is actually new, not just re-spun, and Ghanaian cuisine is filling that gap.”

Where: 21 Great Pulteney St, Carnaby, London W1F 9NG

When: From 4 April for 6 months.

How to book: Book online
