Your own private supper club in a John Lewis showroom apartment

Your own private supper club in a John Lewis showroom kitchen

When battling through Oxford Street, do you invariably find yourself drifting towards the safe, peaceful haven that is John Lewis? This might be one for you - the chance to get your dinner served up to you by a personal chef (aka realise your dream of pretending you're a millionaire with a showroom kitchen.)

The Residence, John Lewis's latest stunt, is a fully-kitted out apartment that you can rent out, dine in, and effectively buy all the individual components of. But once a week, The Residence will become the home of Oxford Street's weirdest supper club, where one guest, and nine of their mates, will be treated to a private dinner party cooked up and served in the showroom apartment's gleaming kitchen. There'll even be an in-house mixologist to provide the cocktails, selected by you in advance, before you'll all be invited to get comfy in front of one of those department store-sized plasma screens, to wind down for the night.

It's far from John Lewis's first foray into the world of residencies and pop-ups, with their popular Rooftop Garden venue now winding down for the year after another successful summer run. This one also feels somewhat reminiscent of an IKEA supper club we visited last year.

If all this sounds good to you, then you'll need to apply for the lucky-dip style selection in person to the Concierge team in the Oxford Street shop on the 23-24 September.

When: Visit John Lewis on 23-24 September to enter the draw

Where: 300 Oxford St, Marylebone, London W1C 1DX
