Wahaca, OXO Tower and more win sustainability awardsCongratulations are in order for two London restaurants today that picked up awards at the Sustainable Restaurant Awards ceremony this morning.

The award for Sustainable Restaurant Group of the Year was won by Wahaca who proved particularly strong in the Environment and Society sections. Co-owner Thomasina Miers said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received this award from the SRA, not only in recognition of all the hard work we put into sustainability across the board, but also when there are so many other great restaurants working hard in this area too.  I think these awards are going to be a great annual event for shouting about what restaurants are doing, and can achieve, with all things green.”

OXO Tower Restaurant Brasserie and Bar on the South Bank (along with Friska in Bristol) won the SRA Society Award which recognises restaurants’ efforts to engage positively with their staff, customers and local community.
