Smithfield's Michelin-starred Club Gascon is returning after a big refurb

After a serious refurbishment, and a temporary relocation @club_gascon, Club Gascon is finally set to reopen the doors of its Grade II listed building. The entire space has been completely redesigned as well as adding a bigger kitchen, an extra basement space and a newly designed menu.

Now, the menu will be divvied up into three sections. That'll start with traditional-meets-contemporary dishes under the heading of 'Gascon', through to the seasonal dishes listed under 'Season', and finally, the future-focused 'Garden' which will cater for those with restricted diets with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options. There'll also be a changing five and seven-course chef's menu, and a lunch menu with similar options.

There's every reason to expect more of the high-quality, French cooking that's allowed Club Gascon to hang onto its Michelin star for a staggering 16 (!) years. And here are a couple of menu highlights:

  • From Gascon: Braised veal sweetbreads, lobster sand and cuttlefish tagliatelle
  • From Season: Grouse, popcorn and oyster
  • From Garden: Tulip flower, aigre-doux, quince, nuts and Jerusalem artichoke

Aside from a bigger kitchen and reworked menu, there'll also be a new semi-private dining space with space for 10. Plus, good news - their next door cocktail and lounge Le Bar will be reopening, along with a menu of French tapas.

Pascal says, “The space is absolutely beautiful now, I am very proud of it. It’s been an important time for me and our team to hone in on what I want to cook and what type of service we wanted to deliver to our guests."

When: 24 October

Where: 57 W Smithfield, London EC1A 9DS
