Shake Shack is coming to Stratford Westfield

Shake Shack is coming to Stratford Westfield

It had been rumoured for a couple of days and now the news is out - a second Shake Shack is coming to London, to Stratford's Westfield.

This will see them follow similar Shake Shack set-ups in malls around the world, offering everything that's currently available in Covent Garden - shakes (obviously) and burgers including the ShackBurger, SmokeShack (with bacon) and ‘Shroom Burger and the Shack-cago Dog. Exclusive to the Westfield Shake Shack are three new concretes too:

  • Peanut Butter CrunchCrete (chocolate custard, St. JOHN Bakery chocolate hazelnut brownie, peanut butter sauce and chocolate toffee)
  • East End Pie Oh My (vanilla custard and a slice of Flour Power bramley apple pie)
  • Banana Pretzel Pudding (vanilla custard, paul.a.young chocolate covered pretzels, caramel sauce, fresh banana and maldon salt).

It'll be located on Westfield's "Street" (which is where Cafe Football lives). For the design, they'll be using lots of sustainable and recycled material including table tops made from reclaimed bowling alleys handcrafted in Brooklyn and reclaimed wall panelling from rooftop water tanks in NYC.

Shake Shack is still easily one of our favourite burger joints in London - so it will be enough to drag us back to Westfield when it opens in May. We also hear that more locations are planned for the UK soon - more news of that as soon we get it.

Shake Shack opens in Wesfield Stratford's "Street" on May 20. Find out more about Shake Shack by following them on Twitter @shakeshackuk
