Pork restaurant Blackfoot is coming to Exmouth Market

Blackfoot(Updated 28/11 with soft launch details)

A new restaurant is coming to Exmouth Market, celebrating all things piggy. Blackfoot is from Tom Ward and Allegra McEvedy, both previously at Leon and is aiming for a neighbourhood restaurant vibe.

Their signature dish will be porchetta sandwiches for the lunchtime Farringdon crowd- "loin and belly stuffed with fresh herbs and spices, rolled and roasted" served from their counter. Other things planned for the menu are smoked slow-roasted belly with treacle and Szechuan glaze, pulled pork tacos, Cherrystone clams with chilli crackling, Monkfish Wellington, spare rib steak with fennel, cayenne, garlic and Vietnamese pot belly salad.

They'll also be putting on a feasting menu, daily stews and a selection of ever-changing sausages on the sausage board. They've enlisted help from Cannon and Cannon to source charcuterie, which will be used for the whipped lardo on sourdough and lots more, while Mark and Paul Haywood of Dingley Dell provide the pigs.

The bar menu will have include various Collins (gin, lemon, plum, soda) and Kirs (white wine and rhubarb liqueur) as well as ciders (Shezam from Olivers), craft beers and a selection of English & European wine as well as French wine on tap.

Blackfoot opens at 46 Exmouth Market London EC1 4QE on Friday 13 December. There will be a soft launch on the 11th and 12th with 50% off food for lunch and dinner. To book, email exmouth@blackfootrestaurant.co.uk or call 020 7837 4384 with a preferred date, time and number of guests. Follow them on Twitter for more details.
