New bar, restaurant and club 3 Cromwell Road to open in South Kensington

New bar, restaurant and club 3 Cromwell Road to open in Soutrh KensingtonIf you're taking in a bit of culture at South Ken, then there's a new place to head to if you start getting a bit of museum ennui.

3 Cromwell Road was only fairly recently launched as members' club The Dorsia (and was The Firehouse before that), but now it's re-opening the doors to the public under a new name.

It'll be split into three areas. First, there's the ground floor cocktail bar called the Back Room which will also feature DJs and live acts, as well as a courtyard and garden space for more clement weather.

Next is the first floor restaurant called The Drawing Room, which will also be home to a bar with a grand piano and table football. The menu will be sticking to current London trends and concentrate on serving just the one dish - steak frites with a choice of three salads and three dressings.

And finally there's a downstairs club called The Basement - once again with a cocktail menu and this can also be hired out.

Decor throughout promises to be fairly lush, with all furniture provided by Andrew Martin (founder of Interior Designer of the Year Award). This will all be reflected in the waiting staff of the restaurant, who will all be decked out in tweed and flat caps.

The restaurant will be open for weekday dinner only from 6pm - 1am as well as weekend lunches - while the Back Room will be open daily till 3am (as will the basement from Thursday - Saturday).

3 Cromwell Road will open in South Kensington on March 22.
