Moon and macaroni cakes, charcuterie, cocktails and more - stuff we've liked this week

Moon and macaroni cakes, charcuterie, cocktails and more - stuff we've liked this weekWelcome to our first run-down of what we've been up to this week, picking the best from our posts on Twitter and Instagram. Follow us there for the latest info and to see what we get up to on next week's trip to NYC.

Macaroni cakes from Pizza Pilgrims

We tried this rather excellent concoction (containing parmesan, ragu and buffalo mozzarella) and the Pizza Fritta from the new Pizza Pilgrims in Kingly Court.

Charcuterie at Smokehouse

To our local, Smokehouse, for some booze (and a few snacks).

Sea trout tartare from Think Eat Drink

We popped along and had a lovely dinner at Think Eat Drink in King's Cross, with this and the slow cooked lamb as standout dishes.

A beautiful book from Michel Roux

We're all inspired by this lovely looking book which turned up from Michel Roux - The Essence of French Cooking

Moon cakes from Shangri La

These turned up in the post from Shangri-La at the Shard - moon cakes now available from their deli Lang. They come in a beautiful gift box in rose and raspberry, chocolate chip and pistachio and cranberry. The boxes are available until 8 September for £38.

Seared tuna nikkei from Lima London

We popped along to the latest Peruvian restaurant, the follow up to Lima, Lima Floral. Look out for our Test Drive in the newsletter on Tuesday.

And finally - cocktails from The Manhattans Project

Cocktail specialists the Manhattans Project popped up at Islington's Public House at the weekend where we felt duty bound to try them out.
