London's street food vendors storm the Street Food Awards

Five of London's Street Food sellers (or Mobilers as they apparently prefer to be called) are celebrating as they picked up six of the nine awards on offer at this year's Street Food Awards which was held over the weekend at the Ludlow Food Festival. Best Pie went to Eat My Pies (Whitecross Street Market), Best Dessert was La Grotta Ices which also picked up Best Overall Winner. Ca Phe Vn (Broadway Market every Saturday) picked up the prize for Best Cold Drink (Best Hot Drink went to Indie Coffee - a market stall on Church Street in St John's Wood) and Best Sandwich went to the now legendary burger vendor The Meatwagon. If you'd like to try any of their wares, The Meatwagon will be touring London this week in celebration of the win, taking in Peckham's The Victoria Inn today, The Ship in Wandsworth tomorrow (16 Sep) and The Towpath in Hackney on Friday 17 September with fellow winner La Grotta Ices.
