La Cabina late night tapas hits Kingsland Road

lacabina

London is slowly but surely gearing up to the launch of the late night tube. And the arrival of La Cabina in Haggerston is another sign of that. This new basement tapas spot will serve a full tapas menu until 5am.

Named after the Spanish phonebox, La Cabina is taking over the space that used to be Manero's. With room for 50 diners, you'll find the entrance at the back of the phone booth on Kingsland Road.

As for food, the menu's been put together by Javier Vincente of Tooting’s Little Taperia (via Rules). So there'll be Roasted Octopus with Mojo Picon and Mini Roasted Chorizo in red wine, as well as home-grown dishes like Ginger Pig Potted Ham Hock with Piccalilli and Haggis Scotch Quail Eggs.

In charge of the cocktails is former Bouji Head Barman Andrew Fitzmaurice. We'll be propping up the bar with a Summer Serrano - honey and vanilla vodkas, fresh melon and lemon juice with ginger beer and finished with melon and Serrano Ham.

La Cabina opens on 4 December 2015 at 232 Kingsland Road, London E2 8AX. Opening hours are Tuesday & Wednesday 7pm-12am and Thursday to Saturday 6pm - 5am. Bookings are now open at enquiries@la-cabina.com. Keep up with their news on Twitter @LaCabinaBar
